On Saturday 26 November at 7.30pm, Cornwall based Braga Tanga will take audiences on a journey all around the world from the comfort of their seats at The Pound, Corsham as they perform an exotic and vibrant mix of folk music.

"Destinations for this cold winter evening include Romania, Macedonia, Brittany, Malta, Mexico, Scotland, Italy, Turkey, Finland, Bulgaria and more!" said Lucy Moore, box office and marketing assistant at Pound Arts.

Although the four well-travelled musicians are based in Cornwall, they draw on experience and inspiration from all over the world and have considerable musical and theatrical experience.

You can also expect some original songs by singer and accordionist Jim Carey, who has previously created inspirational music for Cornwall's Kneehigh and Miracle Theatre Companies and the Eden Project.

'Braga Tanga is a creative probe into the diversity of the European folk tradition. There is no way that a body can stay still in the presence of Braga Tanga.' Bert Biscoe (musician), June 2010

As well as coming The Pound in a couple of weeks time, they have been to Pewsey, Newton Tony and Ashton Keynes as part of Rural Arts Wiltshire last month, where they were very well received.

Tickets are £10 (£9 concessions) and can be booked by either calling the box office on 01249 701628, online 24 hours a day at www.poundarts.org.uk or visit The Pound in person. The box office is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
