This Sunday ... a vintage bus runs from Melksham Market Place at 09:05 to Warminster ... for Warminster Vintage Bus Running Day. Some 40 buses and coaches - some over 50 years old - will run on a variety of old bus routes from Warminster and around Warminster. A full timetable costs 5 pounds (buy one when you get to Warminster) but all rides are free! A return service at 17:30 (route 241) will serve Melksham via Trowbridge, or there are trains at 16:48 or 18:48, change at Westbury, fare 3.70 single. What a great idea – is there a charge for the bus?

No charge for the bus journeys. They are free, with buses loaded on a first come, first served basis. You can (and are gently encouraged) to spend 5 pounds on a program / timetable to help cover costs.
