There seem to be a number of doggie types around here ... does anyone have a list of (or recommendations) for pubs that welcome dogs - especially those that serve food. Gypsy likes "The Three Magpies" and has come with us to "The Barge", but fancies some different walks as the days start to get longer ...

They are welcome in the Brewery in Seend Cleeve just up from the Barge, and in the George at Lacock, plus the garden of the Sign of the Angel; nice walk around the village and through the fields behind the abbey.

Any other suggestions out there?

Thanks for that says Gypsy ( http://tinyurl.com/6jfsyfg ) - and via a twitter spinoff from this forum the Bell at Broughton Gifford has been recommended too. I also came across a dog friendly pub wesbite - http://tinyurl.com/6d8nncf - lists some more but lacks a map, so we're left having to carefully work all through Wiltshire. I note that the Somerset Arms at Semington is listed. Can anyone confirm that is doggable?

It is in the bar; also WiltshireChilli suggested the White Hart at Atworth. Lovely walks around Neston and Gastard lanes and fields

Just thought also, The Ivy at Heddington is fab for Sunday lunch and walks up on the downs. Can walk to Oliver’s Castle from there.
