...and when I add a sensbible valid comment to a thread the whole lot vanishes? But ridiculous arguments against a new food business remain, and one companys attempt to undermine a estate agents sucess also remain. Can I be sent a copy of the rules please?!!

I suspect that your post may have been deleted not because of what it contained, but because of other posts in the same thread - you were perhaps the victim of someone else's breaking of the house rules.

Sasha - good to see you yesterday morning at the Food Festival launch. Would it be a good idea for us to move on from some of the more much-discussed and negative aspects that have come up. I know I've been around here for at least 6 months, but may not really have posted a "hI" ... rather just crept in here and started posting. Well i must say I am surprised at how easy the flow of traffic is now up the byepass. I appreciate that at certain times of the day there is congestion as there always has been. Particularly at schooltimes in the past. But has THE DREADED ASDA moved ? Disapeared?? or is it that all the whingers were actually wrong lol. Even with our high street still closed the traffic is no worse than its ever been. And before you all start claiming i dont use it often enough, I am a local service engineer so am probably effected by traffic more than most.
A final note, As a child in the 60s, In the summer holidays we use to hitch a lift to lacock from Melksham where we would find the traffic ground to a halt between chippenham and Melksham on route to south coast. For a fee of 6pence old money we would , via a lift in there car, redirect families through lacock, Lower forest, Coronation road, Thackeray and backout onto Semington road. Leaving them grateful and us on our way back to lacock for another payout.Way of earning pocket money although i wouldnt advise it today
