Why I like Melksham

Melksham is my home town where i have spent all my life. Although the town centre has suffered since its hey day in the 70s, It still has massive potential, With a river running through the town it self and a bypass to relieve serious congestion we have the opportunityof building a quite unique community based town centre, retaining all its character and yet being 10 miles from M4 can attract all the businesses . Leekes has proved that with good management and foresight, companies will prosper based in Melksham, Central to a catchment area including Trowbridge, Chippenham, and Devizes

Why I don't like Melksham

Unfortunately we are controlled by a Trowbridge based council who prime objective is to deprive Melksham of any potential in favour of the already over suscribed Trowbridge. . Thankfully Leekes, Peacocks Sainsburys, and now Asda has seen the potential in Melksham, and are big enough to ride over the Wilts council bullying and have invested in our town dispite the councils wishes.
